Metal Braces

Traditional Metal Braces: A Time-Tested Solution for a Beautiful Smile

While we offer a range of treatment options, many of our patients choose traditional metal braces for their reliability, effectiveness, and versatility. With decades of proven results, metal braces have earned their reputation as the "gold standard" of orthodontic care.

How Metal Braces Work

Our expert orthodontic team will carefully attach brackets to your teeth, which will then be connected by a wire. By strategically placing bends in the wire, we can apply precise pressure to specific teeth, guiding them into their ideal position. To secure the wire in place, we use elastic ties, which come in a variety of colors to suit your personal style.

Personalized Support for a Smooth Transition

We're committed to ensuring your transition to life with braces is seamless. During your appointment, our friendly team will provide you with valuable tips and guidance on:

  • Effective brushing and flossing techniques to maintain good oral hygiene

  • Foods to avoid, and healthy alternatives to enjoy

  • Other helpful advice to make your orthodontic journey as comfortable as possible

Clear Braces: A Discreet and Effective Orthodontic Solution

We understand that a beautiful smile can boost confidence and enhance overall well-being. For individuals seeking a more discreet orthodontic treatment, clear braces offer an excellent option. Made from high-quality ceramic materials, these braces are designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.

Treatment Considerations

While clear braces are a popular choice, it's essential to note that treatment may take slightly longer compared to traditional metal braces. This is because ceramic brackets require a more gentle approach to avoid damage, which can result in a slightly longer treatment duration. However, our experienced orthodontists will work closely with you to ensure the best possible outcome.

Addressing Concerns about Staining

One common concern associated with clear braces is staining. We're pleased to reassure you that ceramic brackets themselves do not stain. However, the adhesive used to secure the brackets to your teeth and the clear elastic ties that hold the wires in place may become slightly discolored over time. Our team will provide personalized guidance on how to maintain your clear braces and minimize the risk of staining.

Clear Aligners

Clear Aligners: A Modern, Discreet, and Convenient Orthodontic Solution

We're excited to offer clear aligners as a cutting-edge approach to straightening teeth. This innovative treatment involves a customized series of aligners, carefully crafted to address your unique orthodontic needs. Made from smooth, comfortable, and nearly invisible plastic, these aligners gently guide your teeth into their ideal position.

How Clear Aligners Work

Your personalized aligners are designed to be worn over your teeth, with a new set introduced approximately every week. This gradual progression allows for precise, gentle movements, ensuring a comfortable and effective treatment experience. To achieve optimal results, we recommend wearing your aligners for at least 22 hours daily, removing them only for meals, brushing, and flossing.

Enhancing Treatment with Attachments

To further optimize tooth movement, clear aligners often incorporate small, discreet attachments. These attachments work in harmony with the aligners to achieve more complex movements, ensuring a more precise and efficient treatment outcome.

Candidacy and Limitations

While clear aligners are an excellent option for many patients, they may not be suitable for those with more complex alignment or bite issues. Our experienced orthodontists will carefully evaluate your unique needs and recommend the most effective treatment approach for achieving your perfect smile.

Orthodontic Instructions

1

Emergency Care

There are a few types of emergencies during orthodontic treatment. Some require immediate attention, and others can wait.

2

General Soreness

It is common for patients to complain of tooth tenderness for a day or more after an orthodontic appointment. Usually these symptoms are managed easily by the patient through the temporary use of an over-the counter analgesic.

3

Retainer Care

Because teeth can continue to move, if you lose or break your retainers, you'll want to call the office for an appointment to get a new set made.
